Hong Kong is home to more than 260 butterfly species, which is one-tenth the total of China. Hong Kong prizes itself as a "butterfly paradise". Butterflies catch people’s attention with their brilliant colours and elegant poses. They are the most beautiful guides in nature which take people on to the adventure of the magnificent natural world.

From community engagement to primary education, Green Power kicked off butterfly conservation works in 2004 with education programmes and ecological surveys. Our ultimate aim is to safeguard local butterfly diversity by increasing public awareness and promoting culture of butterfly watching and stewardship.
